Moosewood Mondays: Fruit Shakes
This was the first time this season I made oatmeal, a sign that I have capitulated to the season. Some fresh fruit still lingers though, and sometimes it lingers a little too long.
So, what to do with fruit that is getting soft? Throw it in the blender!
These fruit shakes are healthy and delicious and quick to make. They pair perfectly with your morning oatmeal and help give you that boost you can't get from coffee alone.
Feel free to mix and match or freestyle a bit, fruit shakes are infinitely adaptable. We did the mango one this morning, with a few lingering strawberries in there for good measure. Waste not want not!
